The Mermaid's Palace, by Kari Jeanne Lobdell, is a line of seashell, coral and rock crystal
encrusted home accessories, including: shell chandeliers, mirrors, picture frames,
ornaments, candelabra, lamps and treasure boxes.Sumptuous, highly detailed, richly
ornamented designs recall Rococo shell grottoes of 18th Century Europe.

This wholesale line is produced in Northern California and made entirely by hand
by Kari Jeanne Lobdell, an artist/antique dealer who studied at California College
of Arts and Crafts. Her work is inspired by antique shellwork encountered during her
years dealing in art & antiques and, of course, by the organic forms of the sea.

Larger pieces, such as chandeliers, mirrors, and furniture are one-of-a-kind,
as are custom commissioned objects.

Her work has been featured in Barney's New York, Departures Magazine, and the 2006 Esquire Magazine Design House in Beverly Hills, and is in many exclusive private collections.

Each piece is meticulously crafted of high quality materials with minerals, shells, and coral collected from around the world. The shells are attached with industrial grade marine
epoxy and cement on iron, brass, or wood bases. These are museum quality objects
that will last a lifetime.
